This second volume of “Stories to Nourish the Heart ❤️” continues the reflections that Elisabeth Seidel wrote for her blog after the passing of her beloved husband, Dietrich, into the eternal spiritual realm. The first volume was published in 2021. Many of those pieces were reflections on her life with her beloved, and while still learning to live without his physical presence in her life.
In this collection, edited by Jennifer P. Tanabe, Elisabeth continues to share insights from her life experiences, stories that come from her heart, full of love and care for the people she considers her extended family, her “tribe.” Elisabeth’s heart continues to grow, ready to embrace and guide all people the world over as God’s children.
The stories are grouped into five broad topics. Each section focuses on an area that Elisabeth has experienced directly, and in which she has valuable insights to share: Healing, True Love, Happy Life, Connecting with the Spiritual Realm, and Building the Kingdom of Heaven.

Stories to Nourish the Heart: Book 2 by Elisabeth M. Seidel is a deeply personal journey through love, loss, healing, and faith. She writes not as a distant observer of life, but as someone who has walked through suffering and continues to search for meaning, reconciliation, and hope. Her reflections feel like quiet letters of the heart – honest, vulnerable, and guided by a sincere desire to understand how love can endure beyond hardship.
What touches me the most is the thread of a culture of heart, the understanding that love is not merely a feeling, but a commitment to heal relationships, transcend divisions, and grow spiritually. Through personal stories and thoughtful insights, Elisabeth reminds us that even painful experiences can become pathways toward compassion, wisdom, and unity.
This book feels like a quiet companion that gently encourages reflection and invites the reader to rediscover hope, gratitude, and the power of sincere love.

Stories to Nourish the Heart: Book 2 compiles writings on true love, true healing, and true peace that warmed my heart and incited reflection in my own marriage and faith journey.
From the start of her faith journey, she was already seeking for answers and knocking on doors. Elisabeth had a strong resolve that God was with her, and you could feel her heart to be right back with God. Her great stories of healing come in the form of her Blessing of marriage with her husband, an Austrian-German man, a historical enemy to her nation of France. From 2 individuals becoming 1, I saw healing—real healing—that brought their families together, and enmity released.
Her relationship with her husband brings a whole new perspective to true love as they transcend the barrier between the physical and spiritual worlds, and have no pause in their growing love for one another.
Elisabeth’s couple touched and blessed so many families and healed strife between citizens of opposing nations. I strive to have as much gusto and intentionality in my own life.
It was a fun read that soothes the reader’s spirit, just as love has soothed the author.

This book helped me learn more about Elisabeth and her family, growing up in France, and all the challenges she has faced. You can read how family is first and marriage really helped her grow. Through it all she had her faith and stayed strong, and her love for her husband and family kept her going. Thank you, Elisabeth, for sharing your life and being honest about your life.
On days when you are down, pick up this book and it will lift your spirit. I have read some of her other books and through them all I am learning a lot about her and her husband. Yes, he loves her forever. I am looking forward to more books from her.

I had the opportunity to read Stories to Nourish the Heart: Book 2, and I can honestly say this book touched me in a very personal way. As someone who works closely with people—helping them plan their future, navigate uncertainty, and build a meaningful life—I deeply resonated with the themes of healing, love, and purpose throughout the book.
What stood out to me most is how authentic and vulnerable Elisabeth is. Her stories are not just ideas or theories—they come from real life experiences, including pain, loss, faith, and transformation. You can feel that everything she shares comes from her heart, especially her journey of continuing a relationship with her husband beyond the physical world and her commitment to living with love and faith every day.
I also appreciated how the book is structured around meaningful life areas like healing, relationships, happiness, and spirituality. It’s not just something you read once—it’s something you reflect on. There were moments that made me pause and think about my own life, my relationships, and how I show up for others.
From my perspective as a financial advisor, I often see that true wealth is not just about money—it’s about peace, connection, and purpose. This book reinforces that. It reminds us that emotional and spiritual well-being are just as important as financial stability, if not more.
If you are someone who is going through a transition, seeking deeper meaning, or simply wanting to reconnect with love and hope, this book is a beautiful companion. It doesn’t try to impress—it gently guides, comforts, and inspires.
I would definitely recommend it, especially for those who value personal growth, faith, and living a life with intention.

Stories to Nourish the Heart 2 adds more to the delicious buffet of the Seidel couple’s encounters in that inner world. Our spirits are hungry these days for good food. I recommend a daily diet, following that famous doctor who said, “We shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of a God-loving couple.” (Matthew 4:4, edited, paraphrased, and expanded by Sebastian Huemer). Thank you, Elisabeth and Dietrich!
